We want to help YOU achieve your goals by connecting you with the training, resources and supports you need, in a single location here at Guilford Child Development, to reduce barriers and increase your opportunity for success. The goal is help YOU enter a path toward becoming self-sufficient by gaining relevant job-related skills and education, and moving into the workforce. 
The Family Success Center at Guilford Child Development began in Spring 2015 as a pilot program of United Way of Greater Greensboro in zip code 27406. The program offers low-income families services they need to meet the needs of the entire family.
Services include:

Ø GED or Job Readiness Training
Ø Resume Writing
Ø Dress for Success
Ø Interview Skills
Ø Career Counseling
Ø Job Skills Training
Ø Budget Counseling
Ø Family Support
Ø Child Care
Ø Health & Wellness

Enrolling in the Family Success Center provides you with:
Ø Transportation to classes (gas card, bus pass, etc.)
Ø Lunch at every class
Ø Child care during your morning classes
Ø Education savings account if your child is enrolled in HS/EHS
Ø The support of students in your class
Ø Referrals to our community partners for your needs
You are eligible to enroll if you or anyone living in your household:
Ø Has at least one child currently in Head Start or Early Head Start in zip code 27406
Ø Lives in the 27406 zip code
Ø Is classified as low-income according to Federal Poverty guidelines
Ø Agrees to complete a needs assessment with a Family Advocate
